ARE AB1953 CERTIFIED!
The State of California’s Health and Safety code was altered with the passing of Assembly Bill 1953 (ab1953) and the new code went into effect on January 1, 2010. The changes require plumbing products intended for potable water to contain a weighted average lead content below 0.25% for all waterway components. The law also requires that the products are certified by an ANSI-accredited third party. Halsey Taylor has partnered with the Water Quality Association to create and maintain this certification. Our certification brings us in alignment with several other efforts such as Vermont’s lead in consumer products law and the definitions in NSF/ANSI 61, Annex G. We continue to monitor the requirements for lead-free plumbing on a state and national level to ensure the applicability and compliance of our products. |
