Filtered Water Makes a Difference

What’s not in your drinking water is just as important as what’s in it. Elkay WaterSentry filters are compatible with Halsey Taylor systems to provide great tasting water, while reducing contaminants such as lead, from drinking water.

filtration

WaterSentry Filtration Systems

Our filtered drinking fountains, coolers and bottle filling stations come complete with their first filter. Elkay WaterSentry filters are also sold separately and can be retrofitted onto any existing Halsey Taylor unit.

Engineered to meet the high-quality standards written by NSF International, Elkay WaterSentry water filters are tested and certified to NSF/ANSI 42 for the reduction of chlorine taste and odor, as well as Class I particulates.

Similarly, our water filters are tested and certified to NSF/ANSI 53 for the reduction of both lead and cysts. The NSF/ANSI certifications ensure that each sip of water — whether from Halsey Taylor  bottle filling stations, water coolers, drinking fountains or water dispensers — is not only refreshing but also cleaner and healthier.

Our filters are specifically designed to fit and have been certified for use within Halsey Taylor drinking water products.

*Certifier and contaminants reduced vary. See individual filter product page for more information.

FAQs

Halsey Taylor bottle filling stations are a sustainable way to stay hydrated. Filtered models give you extra peace of mind, knowing they are removing lead from the water to the NSF/ANSI 53 certification requirements.

Since the Romans built the first aqueducts to deliver water to their citizenry, we have seen lead in plumbing systems. With more recent understanding of the harmful effects of lead on human health, our modern plumbing codes have banned the use of lead pipes and pipe solder. Unfortunately lead can often be found in older plumbing systems, including those that feature brass fittings, older fixtures, pipes and the solder. Because lead is a toxic substance, and exposure has been directly linked to a number of serious health concerns, it is especially important to remove it from water being consumed by infants and small children. We encourage you to visit https://www.epa.gov/lead to read more about the impact of lead in water.

Yes; any Halsey Taylor product equipped with a WaterSentry Plus or WaterSentry VII filter will remove lead to the requirements of NSF/ANSI 53. Water Sentry Plus and WaterSentry VII filters are certified to meet this important health standard.

Filter Kits and Replacements

Although all Halsey Taylor filtered drinking fountains, coolers and bottle filling stations come complete with their first filter, Halsey Taylor also sells its filters separately. Filters can be retrofitted onto any existing Halsey Taylor unit (water bottle fillers, coolers and drinking fountains).

No. Halsey Taylor drinking water products are certified as lead free to NSF/ANSI Standard 372 by the Water Quality Association. They have been lead free for over twenty years.

Being certified to NSF/ANSI 53 signifies that a filtration system can effectively remove health-related contaminants such as lead from drinking water. Only the highest quality filters are certified for specific reduction claims per NSF/ANSI Standard 53. This certification, which is administered by an ANSI-accredited independent certifying organization like the Water Quality Association (WQA) and NSF International gives you confidence that a filter is capable of delivering the health benefits that you are paying for in a filter.
